A First Look

Take a look at this month’s snippets of the poems below and see if something catches your eye! Every poem is unique, as is every reader. I hope whatever sparks a movement in your soul allows you to connect with your inner self, the inner child, and find out what they need. Whatever you click on, I hope you enjoy.

The Start of Being a Poet

When I grew up I wanted to own a daycare center

Just like my daycare teacher who was devoted

To inspiring the next generation of kids

I didn’t know I’d do it by being a poet

From The Chains of an Eating Disorder

My favorite bedtime snack is watermelon and cubes of cheddar cheese

I eat it right before I go to bed

It helps prevent the three a.m. munchies

Before I even lay down my head

Grow Old With Me

Grow old with me

Let’s hold hands til we’re eighty

Watch the hands of the clock

Tick tock

Until we’re both old and gray
